The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is ramping up the fear factor again.

A new alert has been issued that is getting a bit of attention.

The CDC issued am outbreak alert after someone attending a meeting in Kentucky came down with the measles.

Here We Go Again

The alert was issued after one person came down with a case that had attended the Asbury revival meeting in Kentucky.

That was one person out of several thousand.

The CDC stated, “Measles is extremely contagious and can cause life-threatening illness.

“Anyone who is not protected against measles is at risk.

“An unvaccinated person can get measles when traveling abroad or in the U.S.”

Some 20,000 people were at the revival, so the CDC wants them all to keep an eye out for any symptoms.

This would include people that came into contact with these individuals after they left the revival.

The CDC further stated, “This Health Advisory also highlights other recent large global measles outbreaks and associated U.S. importations, and the importance of early recognition, diagnosis, and appropriate treatment.”
