Bidens New Pick and the Dark Connection With Soros

Purely upon partisan lines, the Democrats of the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee voted Wednesday to advance the Biden-Harris regime’s pick for the Federal Trade Commission Alvaro Bedoya to a full Senate vote. The final tally was 14-14, but in committee an even split still allows the nominee to go to the floor. In a shock to pretty much no one, just like so many other nominees and officials of this illegitimate government, it doesn’t take a deep look at his background for the name Soros to appear.

According to Reuters,

“The FTC is currently made up of Chairwoman Lina Khan, a progressive Democrat, a second Democrat and two Republicans. The FTC cannot take any actions on a tie vote.”

FTC Nominee Received $90K From The Soros Family

Alvaro, born in Peru and immigrated to New York with his family as a child is a fellow with the Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans (George Soros’ brother & sister-in-law),is former Chief Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology and the Law and to disgraced Senator Franken, the then-Chair of the subcommittee and is every bit a pathologically anti-borders pro-illegal immigration leftist.

The Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans describes their organization as, “A Network of Immigrant Excellence”, they explain that “In its 23-year history, The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans has built a community of over 700 immigrants and children of immigrants.”

  • Nationalities: The Fellowship has supported New Americans with heritage in 89 countries. India, China, and Mexico are the most well-represented.
  • Types of Immigrants: In addition to the children of immigrants, Green Card holders, naturalized citizens, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients, the Fellowship also supports individuals who have come to the United States as refugees or asylum seekers and who have received a Green Card or become naturalized US citizens. The Fellowship also supports immigrants who were born abroad and graduated from both high school and college in the United States.

In short, if you were born here… you need not apply. So here’s a thought: are you comforted by someone who received a $90,000 fellowship from the Soros family for a commitment to their interpretation of “the United States’ fundamental principles and ideals” being the deciding vote on the Federal Trade Commission? What do those ideals and principles look like in practice?  Oh, don’t worry, he didn’t bleach his Twitter yet.

Surprised? No, we aren’t either. And Alvaro won’t even be the first member of the regime to have received a nice little $90,000 love note from the Soros clan… nope: Surgeon General Vivek Murthy did too, and he was a former board member of the PDFSA Board to boot. It’s almost like the Soros’ have been investing hundreds of thousands of dollars into prospective Democrat leaders banking that a few will rise to the top of the government… Well at least we got to watch Sen. Mike Lee eat him alive for a few minutes last week for what its worth.
