SCOTUS appears ready to side with parents against liberal indoctrinators in the war for America’s classroom. Left leaning outlets are horrified, on April 22, that “the Supreme Court seemed inclined Tuesday to rule that parents must be able to opt their children out of school curriculum that includes LGBTQ storylines.”
Classroom a battleground
The elementary school classroom has become a battlefield in recent years.
The struggle is between liberal indoctrinators who want to promote psychological birth control against the conservative parents who prefer less controversial basics used for the teaching of reading skills.
Rabidly progressive Axios spells out to their barely literate readers that it matters because “conservatives seem poised to win a significant victory.”
Losing control of the classroom throws a huge monkey wrench into their disinformation mill.
The underlying case which worked its way up from the classroom to the highest federal court “involves LGBTQ-inclusive children’s books added to the curriculum in Montgomery County, Maryland, public schools.”
Three “sets of parents sued, arguing that their religious freedom was violated because they couldn’t opt their children out of classrooms with this material.”
Just admit it
The plaintiff families happen to be both Muslim and Christian, which adds a complicating wrinkle because Democrats have a hard time saying no to anyone of the Muslim persuasion.
The best argument the indoctrinators could come up with was that “the books are made available for individual reading, classroom read-alouds, and other educational activities” as a way to “foster and enhance literacy skills.” That’s a load of crap, Justice Alito scolded.
“Why is the Montgomery County Board of Education in this argument running away from what they clearly want to say?” They can’t simply come out and say they want to promote an agenda.
Encouraging kids to have sex in ways that don’t lead to babies is a great way to reduce the world population. What kids are taught in the elementary classroom molds their minds for the rest of their lives.
“They have a view that they want to express on these subjects,” Alito declared. “Maybe it’s a very good view, but they have a definite view, and that’s the whole point of this curriculum.”
They want books with LGBTQ themes to be the focus of everything in the classroom, rather than an available alternative. Parents don’t like that and SCOTUS seems to agree with the parents.
