Hunter Biden Gets HUGE Break…

I think we can officially say that this administration, from top to bottom, is protecting Joe and Hunter Biden.

We all knew investigations would be front and center once the GOP took over the House.

Well those investigations are getting blocked all over the place and the have barely started.

No Transparency

Joe Biden says he has nothing to hide, yet it is all being hidden.

National Archives is mum on turning over information that was requested.

Now the Treasury Department is blocking the GOP.

Secretary Janet Yellen is not allowing tax returns and financials to be released, citing ongoing investigations.

Republicans in the House are now accusing the administration of stonewalling their investigation.

House GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik stated, “House Republicans are demanding full transparency, and we will get to the bottom of Hunter Biden’s corrupt business deals and why the Biden Administration is stonewalling this investigation as a matter of national security.”

Lauren Fine, spokesperson for House GOP Leader Steve Scalise, added, “last year House Democrats put forth and supported legislation that would require the Treasury Department to turn over SARs to Congress, and even prior to that, the Trump Administration turned over sensitive SARs relating to former President Trump’s family.

“Every House Democrat should join us in demanding that the Treasury Department follow well-established precedent in turning these documents over to Congress, or explain why the rules suddenly don’t apply to President Biden and his family.

“House Republicans will not be stonewalled, and we will use every tool at our disposal to conduct our investigations on behalf of the American people.”

I said at the time that it would come back to bite Democrats, but I guess it doesn’t when you just ignore the requests and the precedent.

The Treasury responded, “To accommodate this kind of request, the Department expects to engage in discussions with the Committee to properly scope and tailor our response to the Committee’s informational and legislative needs.

“After these discussions, the Department will identify potentially responsive documents, assess their responsiveness, and make determinations concerning how to accommodate legitimate legislative needs while also protecting Executive Branch interests, including law enforcement needs.

“While the Department will work as expeditiously as possible, this process will necessarily take time to complete.”

Transparency… that is what Joe Biden promised and his administration is now focused on doing everything it can to keep everything hidden.
