It looks like there might be a little more to the immunity deal given to the Crown Prince than anyone initially realized.
There is now speculation among Republicans that Biden made some type of backroom deal with Saudi Arabia to ramp up oil production just prior to the midterm elections.
Rep. Comer (R-KY) is now demanding answers about the possible arrangement.

After hearing of a possible deal, I cannot help but question the immunity given to the Crown Prince on pending legal matters regarding the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Why did Biden suddenly cave and grant the immunity?
Was it a deal to have oil production increased in the Middle East?
Was this something that the Saudis possibly hung over Joe Biden’s head using oil as its leverage?
Rep. Comey, now the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee and soon to be chair, penned a letter to several departments demanding answers.
He wrote, “This Committee has a responsibility to uncover the facts surrounding any backdoor deals cut by President Biden or his emissaries.
“The President is choosing foreign sources over domestic source — all for political purposes.
“If his Administration is engaging in backdoor market manipulations with adversarial nations while jeopardizing our national security for the sake of securing more favorable election conditions for Democrats, the American people have a right to know.”
Over and above that issue, if Biden did make a deal, it is yet another slap in the face to the domestic fossil fuel industry.
