EMBEZZLEMENT… FBI Director CHARGED

FBI Director Christopher Wray is apparently doing things he should not be doing with government assets.

Earlier this year, some eyebrows were raised when it became known that Wray was using the FBI jet to meet his family on vacation after a congressional hearing.

If recent whistleblower reports are accurate, that is actually the norm for Wray.

Need a Ride?

There are supposed to be stringent guidelines for using the agency’s jet.

Wray seems to use the jet like a personal taxi service.

After Wray left that hearing and flew to update New York, Republicans are asking hard questions.

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is leading the effort, recently among a group of Senators who penned a letter wanting to know if that particular fight was in “compliance with the applicable federal regulations and requirements” and whether he is “properly reimbursing federal taxpayers for your personal travel aboard government aircraft.”

The jet has also logged considerable hours back and forth to Atlanta, where Wray happens to own a home in a very exclusive area.

Former agents are diming out Wray.

One agent stated, “The FBI acquired the Gulfstream for the express purpose of moving its own Counterterrorism Rapid Deployment teams to anywhere in the world to deal with an act of terrorism.

“At the time of discussions centering on the potential purchase of the FBI’s own Gulfstream aircraft, the Bureau was acutely aware of its need and specific purpose, and the significance of never misusing the aircraft for any other travel, specifically to include the movement of FBI Executives unless directly related to terrorism investigations and incidents.”

The only way the jet can be used for personal use is if the individual reimburses the agency at the commercial rate.

Something tells me Wray does not have any receipts.
