Kevin McCarthy won the nomination for Speaker of the House.
And, even though he will be challenged, Mitch McConnell appears to have the votes for Senate leader.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results.
I am not insane, so my hopes for 2024 just took a major hit.
Our elected representatives, however, do appear to be insane if they think this leadership is going to be able to carry us over the finish line in what will be a very difficult election to win with Donald Trump atop the ballot.
