President Donald Trump isn’t waiting to read a letter the Ayatollah sent him. Instead, he lined up a fleet of stealth bombers. If Iran had anything interesting to say, they would have said it out loud and direct. By putting a letter in an envelope and handing it to Oman for delivery to Trump, everyone can tell it won’t contain much more than a weak attempt to delay the inevitable.
Ayatollah on the clock
Donald Trump has three words for Iran’s Ayatollah. “Tick tick boom.” As of Friday, March 28, Iran has five weeks to ink a serious nuclear treaty. The clock is counting down to the total destruction of Tehran when the buzzer goes off.
The president gave Iran’s sand flea infested leaders “a two-month deadline to sign a new nuclear deal or face potential military action in his letter, sent three weeks ago.” Axios seriously toned down that “military action” threat. Trump is all set to go scorched earth.
Since Iran got a letter from Trump they decided to respond just as formally. The Ayatollah carefully penned a private message for Donald Trump’s eyes only.
They mailed it back “via the Gulf Sultanate of Oman, which duly notified the U.S.” Don’t shoot, we have a letter, they announced. They also have a pretty good idea what’s in it.
“The Omanis briefed the U.S. on the messages they received from the Iranians and will deliver the Iranian letter to the White House in the coming days.”
The Ayatollah wanted to make sure Trump got it long before his eight week deadline falls. While they have messages, nobody knows “details on the nature of the Iranian response.”

Indirect talks
For some reason, the Ayatollah is terrified of face to face talks with U.S. negotiators.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi insists they “won’t negotiate directly with the Trump administration so long as Trump’s ‘maximum pressure‘ campaign is in place, but is willing to hold indirect talks.”
That’s okay, we have big, bunker busting bombs all ready to drop on Tehran. “In recent days, the U.S. military sent several B-2 stealth bombers to the Diego Garcia military base in the Indian Ocean.”

When the press probed whether that was connected to the two month deadline, the official spokesperson chuckled that it was “not disconnected.” The Ayatollah can take that as a “yes.”
“The B-2 bombers can carry huge bunker buster bombs that would be a key element in any possible military action against Iran’s underground nuclear facilities.”
When Iran got Trump’s formal declaration of deal or die, the Ayatollah was quick to give an answer. “Do whatever the hell you want.” Apparently, he decided he had a few more choice words to add and put them in a formal letter back. One thing’s for sure. “Something is going to happen very soon. I would rather have a peace deal than the other option, but the other option will solve the problem,” President Trump assures.
