If you are a baseball fan, you will remember the shocking disappearance of Tim Lincecum.
He broke into the bigs in 2007 and immediately dominated.
He had a few years where he fell off, but he got his groove back in 2014, then everything fell apart in 2016 and he just disappeared.
He never announced his retirement, he was just gone at 33.
Some shocking news broke this week that may help clarify some of that.
She’s Gone
Lincecum’s wife, Christine Coleman, is dead.
She was only 38 years old.
According to reports, she succumbed to cancer several weeks ago and passed away.
The news only came out because the San Francisco Giants announced it on social media.
The team stated, “The Giants were extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Tim Lincecum’s wife, Cristin Coleman.
“Our deepest condolences go out to Tim, Cristin’s family and all those whose lives she touched as a friend and teacher.
“She was beloved by the Giants family and her caring and genuine spirit touched those of us who were fortunate enough to know her during her and Timmy’s years with us.”
Cancer being what it is, I am going to go out on a limb and speculate things went south because of her condition.
Lincecum has still not publicly acknowledged the death of his wife.
