Marc Short, the former chief of staff to Vice President Mike Pence is now cooperating with the hyper-partisan hoax of a committee assembled by Nancy Pelosi to further her party’s goals of maligning President Trump and Republicans for the events of Jan. 6th. The faux “investigation” lost all credibility when a true bi-partisan 9/11 style commission was rejected by Senate Republicans and Pelosi embarked on a House committee instead, any possible vestiges of legitimacy vanished when she rejected House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s choices for the GOP representatives and handpicked her own anti-Trump cronies against his will, a radical departure from House precedents.
Short, who remains a close advisor to the Former Vice President was subpoenaed by the House Committee weeks ago, but unlike patriots such as Steve Bannon, Kashyap “Kash” Patel, Mark Meadows, and Alex Jones appears to be cooperating with the illegitimate witch hunt.
The Hill wrote,
“He is a notable witness to the events of Jan. 6, including what happened to Pence and how former President Trump pressed Pence not to certify the results of the presidential election.
Though the committee has not openly discussed it, a source told CNN that the panel is getting “significant cooperation with Team Pence,” according to CNN.”
The Curious Role of Pence in The Jan. 6th Committee
In previous reporting, Short and other figures close to Vice President Pence were allegedly instructed that they could work with the committee “either voluntarily or under the guise of a “friendly subpoena”. Given Vice President Pence’s controversial decision not to intervene and reject the irregular and actively contested electoral college results as required by his Constitutional duty, there is a serious concern in the GOP about how willing Pence will be to cooperate with Democrats.
“Jan. 6 was a dark day in the history of history of the United States’ capital,” Pence said on June 3rd according to Right Wing News Hour. But the majority of the party believe Jan. 6th to be a dark day for more than one reason: yes for the violence at the Capitol but more so for VP Pence and the Congressional GOP’s failure to stop what the past year has shown to clearly be a de facto coup that installed the Biden-Harris regime into power.
He continued, “But thanks to the swift action of the U.S. Capitol Police and federal law enforcement, violence was quelled, the Capitol was secured, and that same day, we reconvened the Congress and did our duty under the Constitution and laws of the United States.” Which is a bit of a twist of the knife considering that in the view of many, Pence and Congress did the polar opposite of their duty. Various reports that Pence’s top associates have been instructed to cooperate with Pelosi’s partisan revenge fantasy are merely adding additional insult to injury and additional anger to an electorate already seething with rage.
