House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is getting a little testy about the resistance to his winning House Speaker in the next term.

McCarthy won the GOP election, but he had more than 30 opposing votes.

Out of those 30, there are at least five members that have already stated they will NOT vote for him, which is a huge problem.

Now McCarthy is trying to play tough guy by issuing a threat to the caucus.

Don’t Play Games

McCarthy clearly did not hear the call of We the People when he threw his name in the hat.

We wanted change in party leadership because we believe that party leadership failed us horribly in this last election.

Even so, McCarthy is now warning the dissenters.

He stated, “We got five more weeks.

“We’re working through our conference rules today.

“We want to make sure that everybody has input, but we have to speak as one voice.

“We will only be successful if we work together or we’ll lose individually.

“This is very fragile that we are the only stopgap for this Biden administration.

“And if we don’t do this right, the Democrats can take the majority.

”If we play games on the floor, the Democrats could end up picking who the speaker is.”

Well, here is an idea… maybe McCarthy should start listening to the people he represents rather than pushing his own agenda and buckling to the pressure of Cocaine Mitch.
