When one attacks someone else for not being moral and stands on their high horse they should check to make certain their own house is clean. That is a tough lesson being learned by John Weaver, one of President Donald Trump’s most ardent detractors and co-founder of the anti-President Trump group The Lincoln Project, who had to step down as his sexual harassment of men was outed.
Lincoln Project founder caught sexually harassing men
Lincoln Project co-founder John Weaver has stepped down from the anti-Trump super-PAC after acknowledging reports that he sent “inappropriate,” sexually charged messages to dozens of young men.
Some two dozen men have claimed Weaver dangled job opportunities while propositioning them for sex, including one who claimed he had consensual intercourse with the longtime GOP operative in a hotel, but never got a gig out of it, the American Conservative reported.
Others said Weaver slid into their direct messages on Twitter, referred to them as “my boy,” complimented their hair or asked about their genitals.
“To the men I made uncomfortable through my messages that I viewed as consensual mutual conversations at the time: I am truly sorry,” he said in a statement. “They were inappropriate and it was because of my failings that this discomfort was brought on you.”
“The truth is that I’m gay,” he said. “And that I have a wife and two kids who I love. My inability to reconcile those two truths has led to this agonizing place.”
He took a medical leave of absence from the group this Summer but, this time, he will not be returning to the group.
“The project’s defense of the Republic and fight for democracy is vital,” Weaver said.
“While I am taking full responsibility for the inappropriate messages and conversations,” he said. “I want to state clearly that the other smears being leveled at me … are categorically false and outrageous.”

John Weaver exposed for being perverted freak
But as sympathetic as Weaver wants to appear, journalist Yashar Ali, a gay man, said there are many stories of his sexual harassment.
“The number of gay men I know who have a ‘John Weaver DM’d me and made me uncomfortable’ story is astounding. An overwhelming number of men have been made to feel this way,” he said.
Weaver was first exposed, no pun intended, by conservative political commentator Ryan James Girdusky.
“Maybe I should start talking about one of the founding members of the Lincoln Project offering jobs to young men in exchange for sex… his wife is probably interested,” he said.
After Weaver admitted what he did and came out of the closet Girdusky had more to say.
“John Weaver gives the Kevin Spacey defense that he’s gay. Refuses to take ownership of the fact that he reached out to men 40 years younger than him and said he believed it was consensual,” he said.
“Weaver says he’s leaving the Lincoln Project… he also claims that the attacks on him are because of the hatred for the Lincoln Project. This is a complete joke of a defense.
“Furthermore members of the Lincoln Project were made aware of his behavior several months ago and complete ignored it,” he said.
