This one popular fashion brand is about to have its reputation dragged through the mud. A new lawsuit filed in New York accuses Abercrombie & Fitch of providing funding to a sex trafficking operation.
The fashion brand, Abercrombie & Fitch, is facing some serious allegations. A lawsuit filed in New York has accused the company of giving former CEO Mike Jeffries “unfettered access” to funds to support his “criminal enterprise.” It claims that he used these resources to engage in sex trafficking and sexual misconduct with over 100 young men who were promised modeling jobs.
According to lawyer David Bradberry, who brought the case against Jeffries and his British partner Matthew Smith, “Abercrombie cared about profiting and showed absolute loyalty to Jeffries, including a willingness to spend copious amounts of money on extravagant drug and sex parties, ignoring multiple red flags of criminality in Jeffries’s corporate account activity.”

The lawsuit alleges that Abercrombie was the “financial lifeblood for a sex trafficking organization” run by Jeffries between at least 1992 and 2014 when he was with the company. It further states that Jeffries had access to an unlimited amount of cash as well as an airplane which he used for personal gain instead of conducting business related activities.
Additionally, it says that employees were required to “properly pack his sex toy bag for his business trips” and he sent emails from the corporate accounts arranging meetings so he could sexually abuse young men. Despite multiple warnings from inside sources about this behavior, Abercrombie failed to take any action or put a stop to it.
Brad Edwards – a civil lawyer representing some alleged victims – stated that “because of this lawsuit and the brave men that have come forward, Abercrombie will have answer for its many unacceptable actions and inactions that have destroyed lives of dozens of young men.” The suit seeks class-action status hoping for justice all those wronged by their former CEO’s actions.
