Newly elected Republican firebrand and Congresswoman Lauren Boebert was suspended from Twitter Wednesday after she “spread false information about the presidential election, a Twitter spokesperson confirmed to The Denver Post.” It gets better: the new Congresswoman was refused entry into the Capitol just the day before.

Boebert’s Twitter Suspended With Thousands of Other Conservatives

After the immediate and blistering media-fallout that followed Boebert’s account getting suspended, Twitter’s “review” by their staff determined that they had “ruled in error” (What are they, Judges now?) and they chose to instead flag the Congresswoman’s January 9th tweet.

“In this instance, our teams took the incorrect enforcement action,” the spokesperson said in an email to the denver post “The Tweet will not be required to be removed and the account will not be temporarily locked.”

Rep. Boebert was quick to criticize Twitter for their ham-fisted reaction to her Jan. 9th barb at Hillary Clinton. Coming only days after the platform lost billions in value by banning President Donald Trump, having a popular freshman Congresswoman suspended could be called “inflammatory” at best, courting disaster at worst. The massive Conservative Purge on Twitter which has seen hundreds of thousands of right-leaning users silenced is making huge headlines still.

Barred Entry to The Capitol Building

CBS4 reports that Congresswoman Boebert was refused entry to the House chamber  after she refused to allow Capitol police to search her bag. The 2nd Amendment steadfast legislator was eventually let inside but it is unknown if her bag was searched or not.

Boebert said,

“It is a shame that Nancy Pelosi is trying to disarm Members of Congress in the very place that needed more protection on January 6,” Boebert said in a statement. “It is clear metal detectors would not have deterred the violent acts we saw; this political stunt does nothing to improve the safety of Members in the Capitol complex.”

Acting House Sergeant-at-Arms Timothy Blodgett subsequently issued a memo, “Members are reminded that pursuant to the firearms regulations that Members received on opening day, firearms are restricted to a Member’s Office.”

Multiple republican congressmen pushed back against the presence of metal detectors in the Capitol including Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs who said “This is crap right here. You can put that down,” saying the detectors were the “stupidest thing” as he walked through.

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s full statement as released Tuesday said,

“It is a shame that Nancy Pelosi is trying to disarm Members of Congress in the very place that needed more protection on January 6th. It is clear metal detectors would not have deterred the violent acts we saw; this political stunt does nothing to improve the safety of Members in the Capitol complex. It is also quite ironic that some have taken my tweets out of context to falsely accuse me of endangering Speaker Pelosi, that she now telegraphs to the entire world that Members of Congress cannot defend themselves in the House Chamber. As I have said in previous statements, I will comply with all applicable firearm laws and regulations. I want to again thank the brave men and women of the Capitol Police for their service and for keeping us safe.”

It appears that the leftists now in charge of Congress like their conservatives three ways: silenced, defenseless and prosecuted.
