As the election results were pouring in, the consensus among pundits was that Joe Biden would misinterpret them.
For once, they all got it right.
They all maintained that because Democrats had done better than expected, Joe Biden would believe that his agenda was being supported and Americans believed we were on the right track.
That is exactly how it played out once we heard a few words from Biden.
Not Changing
As far as Joe is concerned, his policies take time, and he is not budging off the line.
When asked that since more than 70 percent of the country believes we are on the wrong track, what he would change, if anything, Biden responded, “Nothing, because they’re just finding out what we’re doing.
“The more they know about what we’re doing, the more support there is.”
Biden continued, “Do you know anybody who wants us to get rid of the change we made on prescription drug prices and raise prices again?
“Do you know anybody who wants us to walk away from building those roads and bridges and the internet and so on?”
Assuming the GOP does take over at least the House, Biden better hope his agenda plays out as he had hoped.
If not, he will be the ruination of the Democrat Party.
It will be a bittersweet win for conservatives because we are going to pay through the nose over the next two years just to prove him wrong.
