Swamp rat Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) may just be about to get a taste of Karma served up to her, and it will not be pleasant.

Murkowski is in a massive battle trying to keep a pipeline deal for Alaska alive.

The good news for Murkowski is that it has cleared one department.

The bad news is that the second seems fairly determined to tell Joe to pull the plug.

You Better Not!

The deal is the Willow project, which is a drilling project in Alaska that is being run by ConocoPhillips.

The Bureau of Land Management did greenlight the project, but it reduced the drilling sites down from three to a recommended two sites.

The U.S. Department of the Interior, which oversees BLM, has not been quite as receptive overall to the project, stating that it has “substantial concerns” about the project, specifically regarding “including direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions and impacts to wildlife and Alaska Native subsistence.”

This resistance is only being exacerbated by local officials in the village where the project is slated to be run.

City of Nuiqsut Mayor Rosemary Ahtuangaruak stated there are “many who would like to say everybody in Alaska supports oil and gas development.

“Well, for our village, this development is in the wrong area.

“Our concerns are real. It’s about our way of life, the life, health and safety of our village.”

Now Murkowski is panicking because of how important this project is to Alaska.

While discussing the project with the media and the possibility of it getting canceled by Biden, she stated that he “damn well better not kill the project, period.”

Perhaps next time she will think twice about siding with Democrats to oust someone from the White House because she does not like his mean tweets.
