For Americans looking for Joe Biden to hold his administration responsible and mete out some extremely necessary firings… it’s not likely. To name a few: many are calling for the termination of National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and/or CIA Director William Burns. Each of these men held a prominent role and responsibility for the disastrous fall of the Afghanistani government and Biden’s unbelievable failure to successfully plan for evacuating American citizens and property from the graveyard of empires. None will be held accountable.
Evidently in the Biden-Harris regime, holding these officials responsible would be akin to admitting they were wrong, so barring the situation deteriorating “drastically” or “significant loss of American life” according to Axios, nothing is going to happen.
“While acknowledging the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan has been “messy” and the Taliban captured the country quicker than he anticipated, Biden is deeply committed to his policy, the people tell Axios.”
“I think that history is going to record this was the logical, rational, right decision to make,” Biden said Sunday afternoon at the White House in a press conference that clearly showed Biden’s growing incapacity and incompetence.
Biden’s White House Implodes While Joe Laughs
For the first time since his inauguration, coronation, installation into the White House Biden is facing some hard questions from the mainstream media who can no longer ignore the faltering administration’s massive shortcomings.
Biden attempted to start strong in his remarks, “Let me be clear: The evacuation of thousands of people from Kabul was going to be hard and painful no matter when it started, when we began. It would have been true if we had started a month ago — or a month from now. There’s no way to evacuate this many people without pain and loss of heartbreaking images you see on television. It’s just a fact.”
He then attempted to laugh off one of the most hardball questions the mainstream media has ever hit him with. CBS News reporter Ed O’Keefe asked if Biden “trusted” the Taliban in negotiations. Then O’Keefe threw the kill shot:
“And then a question on the public response. A new poll, out today shows Americans wanted to withdraw from Afghanistan, but they disapprove of the way you’ve handled it. The poll also found that based in part of what transpired over the last week, a majority of Americans — and forgive me, I’m just the messenger — no longer consider you to be competent, focused, or effective at the job.”
Biden quipped, “I haven’t seen that poll.”
But O’Keefe didn’t let him get away from it, “It’s out there, from CBS this morning.”
Biden Laughs Awkwardly
O’Keefe pressed on “What would you say to those Americans who no longer believe that you are doing the job?”
Biden then embarked on a long rambling tirade that in no way answered O’Keefe’s question.
“Look, I had a basic decision to make: I either withdraw America from a 20-year war that, depending on whose analyses you accept, cost us $150 million a day for 20 years or $300 million a day for 20 years; who — and I — you know I carry this card with me every day — and who — in fact, where we lost 2,448 Americans dead and 20,722 wounded. Either increase the number of forces we’d keep — we keep there and keep that going, or I end the war. And I decided to end the war.”
Miranda Devine of The New York Post wrote,
“He kept fantasizing at the podium Sunday, as if saying something grotesquely false will make it come true.
“History is going to record this was the logical, rational, right decision to make.”
No, history will record that he bungled the troop withdrawal, against all advice, and set in motion a disaster that has echoes of the last disaster he had oversight of in the Middle East, when he was the VP in charge of withdrawing troops from Iraq, spawning ISIS and the Christian genocide.
No matter how he tries to shift the blame, he is responsible for the calamity in Kabul. Yet his lack of humility or reflection shows he is nothing better than a con man, trying one last time to shaft the American people. “
Nobody suggested that Biden keep our troops in Afghanistan, O’Keefe specifically qualified that saying “A new poll, out today shows Americans wanted to withdraw from Afghanistan, but they disapprove of the way you’ve handled it.” But Biden can’t even answer the correct question, he’s arguing a premise that nobody is making. And he isn’t going to hold anyone from his administration accountable.
Both of these things would endanger the core narrative: that Biden is doing the right thing by getting the US out of Afghanistan and that everything that has gone wrong is Trump’s fault. None of which is borne out by the facts. The Biden-Harris regime cannot defend themselves against this, so they choose not to even acknowledge it.
