The Israeli Defense Forces have just released a video on Wednesday, November 15 which confirms what we knew all along. The new footage features weapons and other military equipment discovered inside Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus also made a walk-through of portions of the hospital, saying that the evidence “totally confirm[s], without any doubt” Hamas’ use of hospitals for military operations against international law. The Palestinian Health Ministry has denied these allegations, claiming there was no evidence because the hospital had not seen any confrontation during the occupation’s invasion.

The video released by the IDF showed security cameras covered up to prevent anyone from seeing what was happening inside the building. Behind an MRI machine there was a combatant’s grab bag containing an AK-47 rifle with magazines and ammunition, grenades, and a uniform.
In another closet they found more military equipment including a full kit for another fighter with uniform, grenade, magazines of ammunition, again with an AK-47 as well as a laptop belonging to Hamas and tactical radio used by fighters. Lastly there was also apparently an operational command center located in one department of the hospital which contained technological assets belonging to Hamas – all pointing towards it being used for terrorist purposes according to Israeli military statements reported by Reuters.

The IDF claims it is only “the tip of the iceberg” when it comes to uncovering evidence about how Hamas uses hospitals for its illegal operations but Palestinians have been quick to deny them altogether.
Whether or not this information is true remains unclear but it could be indicative of wider systematic violations occurring in Gaza if proven right which would be concerning for both sides involved in this conflict as well as international law enforcement agencies around the world who are dedicated to upholding justice and human rights wherever they may be violated.
